The “Glorija” Guitar school was founded in 1997 by Artūras Chalikovas. “Glorija” is a private school offering instruction in pop, rock, blues, and jazz music. Students learn to sing accompanied by acoustic guitar, and they also learn to play solo electric guitar, bass guitar, percussion and keyboards. This school is open to children, youth and adults. Classes are held twice a week, and the school offers a flexible course of study ranging from one month to five years. The following teachers work at the school: Artūras Chalikovas (guitar), Rodionas Kolominas (guitar), Arūnas Baužys (bass guitar, keyboards, programming), Meinardas Brazaitis (drums), and Vladas Kovaliovas (voice).
In 2006–2007, about 200 students (including children, teenagers and adults) were enrolled at the school. Some students have already entered or are preparing to enter the Lithuanian Music Conservatory, other students have formed bands and now give concerts, while still others play in their schools among friends. Occasionally several family members study together, including parents and children, husbands and wives, and brothers and sisters.
